In 1920, coinciding with the opening of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, the Sánchez family opened the Fonda Sánchez in Aínsa. Since then, and across four generations, the Sánchez family has always run the establishment, keeping alive the spirit of that very first day. Today, it is the fourth generation that carries on with the same enthusiasm and commitment.

To remind us where we come from
In 2026, we brought this new space to life: a corner that looks to the past to remind us of where we come from, featuring photographs that form part of Sánchez’s history, whilst at the same time championing our local heritage by showcasing regional produce.
Here you can enjoy Rondadora beer, served from our original chainsaw tap, ice creams from El Arte de la Sierra de Guara, and a culinary offering that boasts locally sourced ingredients and flavours from our region. We have also created a display showcasing all the wines on our list, a very special selection in which the vast majority come from family-run wineries and businesses in Upper Aragon, reflecting our commitment to the land and to those who work it every day.
